Slovenia’s national futsal team starts autumn preparations: tournament in Poreč

The national futsal team is starting the autumn part of their preparations for the qualifiers for EURO 2026. Under the leadership of head coach Tomislav Horvat, the team will travel to Croatia to participate in a tournament in Poreč. Their first match will take place on September 23 at 4:00 PM against Greenland, and the following day, September 24, they will face Estonia at the same time. After a rest day, they will play the final placement match on September 26.

The following players have been invited to the preparations: Matej Fideršek, Denis Kneževič, Marko Peček, and Tilen Rajter (all from FK Dobovec), Teo Turk, Max Vesel, and Žiga Čeh (all from HMNK Rijeka/CRO), Jeremy Bukovec and Nejc Hozjan (both from Kelme Osijek/CRO), Igor Osredkar (MNK Bubamara/BiH), Luka Čop (MNK Futsal Dinamo/CRO), Klemen Duščak (MNK Novo Vrijeme Makarska/CRO), Uroš Đurić (MNK Olmissum Omiš/CRO), Nejc Berzelak and Žan Janež (both from Siliko Vrhnika). Players on standby: Tilen Gajser (Futsal Minerva/SUI), Luka Lovrec (KMN Benedikt), Alan Muratagić (Siliko Vrhnika).

Slovenia will compete in the EURO 2026 qualifiers in Group 4, where they will face the national teams of Hungary, Montenegro, and Norway.
