First-league teams conclude preparations: Olimpija lost to Austrians, Koper defeated Rožman’s team, Rogaška secured a victory, and Bravo drew in Slovakia

In a week, the spring part of the season in the Prva liga Telemach will begin, and the top-league teams are gradually concluding their winter preparations. Ahead of us is a weekend of friendly matches, which included the final match for Olimpija. The Dragons faced the Austrian top-league club WAC at Kodeljevo, where they were outplayed. The visitors secured a 1-0 victory, with the lone goal scored by Bernhard Zimmermann in the 17th minute. Olimpija started the match with Pintol, Jorge Silva, Ratnik, Muhamedbegović, Sualehe, Doffo, Elšnik, Posavec, Motika, Raul, Bristrić, and substitutes Pedro Lucas, Fadida, Brest, Lasickas, Kasa, Agba, and Marin.

Koper faced a team led by a familiar figure in Slovenian football on Bonifika. Simon Rožman visited the coast with Sarajevo and suffered a 1-0 defeat to Koper, with the only goal of the match scored by Deni Jurić, who recently joined Primorje from Croatian giants Dinamo.

Newcomer Mijić Scores Eight Goals

Despite selling Nejc Gradišar to Hungary, it didn’t seem to affect Rogaška much in the match against Kolubara. The black-and-whites scored five goals against the Serbian opponent and celebrated a 5-1 victory. The newcomer Mijić continued his impressive form, scoring his eighth (!) goal during preparations. Other goal scorers for Rogaška were Korošec, Thalisson, Satchwell, and Flis.

Bravo opted for a special dress rehearsal by visiting Bratislava, where they faced last year’s European opponent Olimpija. Slovan once again failed to secure a win, with Olimpija emerging victorious while Bravo managed a draw. The only goal for Šiškarji was scored by Milan Tučić, a forward who, at least for now, hasn’t signed with Bravo.

Domžale played two matches, first defeating Hartberg 5-3 and then drawing 1-1 against NK Brinje Grosuplje. Against Hartberg, Pišek, Perc, Šturm, Markuš, and Topalović scored, while Krupić scored the lone goal for the yellow team against the second-league opponent.

Meanwhile, Radomlje visited Ajdovščina, where they comfortably defeated Primorje 3-0. Winter newcomer Nemanja Gavrić from Olimpija, Caio Cruz, and Ivan Krolo scored for the millers.

Mura also secured a victory in their friendly match against Bistrica from 2. SNL. The Prekmurje team won 2-0, with goals from Nikola Jovićević and winter newcomer Julien Lamy, who joined Mura from Celje after terminating his contract. Notably, Florijan Raduha guarded the goal for 60 minutes during the friendly, getting the nod ahead of Klemen Mihelak. The latter was in excellent form in the fall and even received a call-up to the national team for a friendly match against the USA. However, just before the start of the season, Raduha took his place between the goalposts. Could a significant change be looming in Fazanerija?
