On Saturday, four matches of the 2. SNL were played in round 11, with three of them ending in draws. The only team to celebrate a victory was NK Brinje Grosuplje, while Slovan continues to remain winless after this round.

Beltinci certainly wanted to brighten the weekend for everyone connected to the yellow team while celebrating their 75th anniversary. The team, coached by Blaž Krauthaker, started the match quite promisingly but failed to capitalize on the chances they created. Likewise, Dravinja couldn’t threaten the home goalkeeper Domn Zver, and the first half ended with a score of 0:0. The flow of the match did not change in the second half; both teams lacked ideas that could lead to a goal, forcing the teams to settle for a goalless draw in front of 1000 spectators.

The players of Bilje traveled to Slovenska Bistrica aiming to improve their performance after last round’s disappointing result against Triglav, where they were simply too weak to earn even a point. However, the Bistričani gained some much-needed confidence in their recent matches. Both teams had enough situations in the first half to score, but after the first 45 minutes, the score was still 0:0.

In the second half, the Primorci were more inclined to take the lead, which they eventually did when the guests scored in the 57th minute through Kenan Hadžiavdić. Just four minutes later, the visitors from Bilje received a red card, earned by the young striker Divine Omoregie. The guests tried everything to maintain their lead, but the home team, with a player advantage, created several opportunities, one of which was converted in the 80th minute by Enej Marsetič to equalize. The match ended with the teams splitting the points.

The city derby in 2. SNL ends goalless and without a winner

In Šiška, Ilirija hosted the Ljubljana city derby against last-placed Slovan. This was the first meeting between the two teams, adding extra motivation for victory in this local clash. However, spectators at Ilirija Stadium did not witness any goals. The match, with few chances, ended in a 0:0 draw, and Slovan, who lost Danijel Džajić to a red card in the 83rd minute, remains in last place, while Ilirija’s position on the table also did not change, remaining in 13th place. Additionally, it should be noted that Tim Kruljac made his debut in goal for Slovan, keeping a clean sheet right away.

It is hard to say who was favored in the match between Dekani and NK Brinje Grosuplje. If we only looked at the table, it would be Dekani, but we know the quality team Grosuplje has. Although Goran Markovič’s team left their last away match completely disappointed, they emphasized that they would be up for the challenge today and could earn points. And that is exactly what happened. The team from Dolenjska secured a full haul with two goals on a tough away match, with Samo Matjaž and Nikola Jovićević scoring in the 7th and 59th minutes, respectively.
